Letter inviting members to attend a brief ceremony ot be held December 13, 1968 at 9:30 AM in the City Hall Offices of Leonard H. Caro, City Manager of Peoria, at which time Mr. Caro, acting in his capacity as harbor master of the port of Peoria, will issues and present a morring permit to Captain Dennis Trone, President of the Sangamon Packet Company. The firm will be bringing a new 400 passenger steam powered sternwheel excursion vessel, the “Julia Belle Swain,” to Peoria in the spring of 1970. December 10, 1968.
