This is a program from the Federal Theatre presents “The Solid South”. It was performed at the Majestic Theatre in Peoria, IL in the mid to later 1930s. The Federal Theatre was part of the Work Progress Administration (WPA). The WPA was a group set up by former President Franklin D. Roosevelt to give people jobs during the Great Depression. “The Solid South” was shown for 9 days starting Saturday April 17th.
