Description:
Framed oil painting of Charles H. Deane (Aug 14 1827—June 15, 1882). He was the proprietor of the Peoria House — a well—known Peoria hotel. Deane served in the Civil War as a First Lt. and later as Quartermaster of the 86th Illinois Volunteer Infantry. He is buried in Springdale Cemetery.
