A wedding dress and veil worn by Mary Jean Malone on her wedding day, November 28, 1959. The ceremony took place at St. Bernard Church on the East Bluff with a reception at the Ivy Club on the IL river

The wedding gown is a deep luster satin and french alencon lace, designed with a bateau neckline studded with seed pearls and sequins. The full skirt is accented by back bustle draping which extends into a court train. The gown was purchased at Block & Kuhl Co., address: 124 SW Adams Street in downtown Peoria for approximately $100. The veil was purchased separately and is attached to a matching satin half-hat.
