The W.F. Hardin Calendar Vol.2 The calendar is a collection of portraits done by Hardin of some of Central Illinois’ “most distinguished people.” The portraits include:
A.J. Robertson, head coach and athletic director at Bradley from 1920-48,
Abraham Lincoln at home in Springfield,
Lorene Ramsey, Illinois Central College women’s basketball coach,
President Ronald Reagan, he attended Eureka College and was born and raised in Illinois,
Charles Lindbergh, flew across the Atlantic solo in 1927, President Grover Cleveland,
Thomas K. Thomas, Illinois Central College President for twelve years,
Gene Swager, founded the architectural firm of Phillips & Swager, Lee Morgan, president of Caterpillar from 1972-77, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 1977-85,
Phil Weinberg, served twenty years as the department chairman at Bradley beginning in 1956 in the electrical engineering program,
Daisy, Bill Hardin’s mother,
Hazel Rutherford, conservationist.
The front of the calendar is “Artist at work. A left-handed Norman Rockwell ‘Wanna-be.'” The months of the calendar are all on their own separate sheets that measure approx. 4.5×5.5 inches. On the back of the separate calendar sheets are short descriptions about the people in the portraits. The calendar is in a clear plastic case.
