Article on an upcoming election for Probate Judge between (Leslie D.) Puterbaugh (1890-7) and W.S. (William) Kellogg. The article is against Kellogg and pro-Puterbaugh saying that he should receive the endorsement of every Irish voter in Peoria county. The Romanist issue is mentioned in connection to the election. Puterbaugh had the support of the Catholics. The end of the article states that the Catholic element has stated it is against W.S. Kellogg and that the, “…response coming from the ranks of true Americanism must be, ‘We are solidly massed against Puterbaugh’s Romanist supporters and our candidate is W.S.
