A Contract for Building between John Stillwell and Powers & Stewart. The second part agrees to “make, erect, build and finish in a good substantial, and workmanlike manner, on the Ground a five room house…and outhouses all material and labor to be furnished by the party of the second part and completed.” John Stillwell will pay $1150.00, the first payment will be $100, the second and third payment will be made when the foundation is done, the fourth payment will be made when the house is done. John Stillwell and Powers & Stewart both signed the contract.
