A first day of issue envelope for the 1964 William Shakespeare five cent stamp. This stamp was made to commemorate Shakespeare’s 400th birthday. The address on the envelope reads, “Mr. J. Fletcher Lankton Lankton-Ziegele-Terry & Associates 1100 Main Street Peoria, Illinois. The envelope is postmarked, ” Stratford Conn. Aug. 14, 1964.” In the upper left corner there is a picture of Shakespeare. Just below that is a picture of the famous scull scene from Hamlet.
