
A letter from Bob Heinz to his mother, father, and sister. The letter was sent from Camp Maxey, Texas to St. Francis Hospital where Bob’s sister, Virginia “Gin” Heinz, was staying for a brief time. Based on he content of the letter, it appears that Virginia was having or had just had an appendectomy operation. At the end of the body of the letter Bob assures tells her, “Don’t worry about it, you’ll never miss it!” In a postscript Bob says, “Mom: the cookies came and thanks a lot but don’t bother with anything like that now.”
