Newspaper article, “County moves to reclaim clock” by Mike Smothers. The Peoria County Board voted to spend the money necessary to once again own the old courthouse clock. Jay Finney and his team offered to repair the clock so it could be enjoyed by the public once again. The plan is to surround the clock in a plexiglass case along with the courthouse bell. If the county does not have interest, the Vachon family says they will donate the clock to the Peoria Historical Society.
