A canvas and leather bank deposit bag used by the Prospect National Bank of Peoria. The patent for this design of bag was filed by Sidney B. Klahn on Feb 19, 1937. He received the patent the following year and began manufacturing and selling the bags through his company, “S. B. Klahn Co.” This bag was used by the Prospect National Bank of Peoria. The bag has the number 165 printed on the front in black ink. At the bottom of the bag, “PATENT No. 2,113,089 S. B. Klahn Co., Mfrs., Portland Oregon,” is printed. Prominent displayed in the center of the bag are the words, “Prospect National Bank of Peoria Peoria, Illinois. The bag is designed to close over a staple, an implement designed to secure a lock to, with two flaps folding inward. The top of the bag is designed to avoid any tampering with the contents of the bag.
