A flat nose with one half bent upward to form a cutter, the other half is prolonged downward on outside edge to form nicker spur cutter. The nicker describes a circle around the lead, and the cutter pares away the surface inside the circle. Used for wide, shallow holes from 0.25 to 3.5 inches in diameter.
