Bit has a flat nose with one half bent upward to form cutter, other half prolonged downward on outside edge to form nicker or spur cutter. Nicker desribes circle around lead; cutter pares surface inside circle. Used for wide, shallow holes from 0.25 to 3.5 inches in diameter.
