In a gold box in white script it says: “Two fingers: Man or Myth? Few characters crossing the U.S.-Mexican border have been so interesting, or perhaps so strange, as the tequila man, Two Fingers. That’s all.Just Two Fingers. Folks weren’t so much interested in his real name as they were thirsty for his macho tequila. “My boys and I squeeze this tequila out drop by drop,” he was known to boast as he talked about his mezcal plants. But he never told what extra things he did to make his tequila taste so good. Two Fingers made trips north of the border to sell his tequila throughout the late 30’s Then he stopped. Cold. Nobody knows what happened to him after that. Whatever the case he left his mark. His legend may be fading fast, but luckily for us his tequila lives on.”
