One box, created by General Boy Company, that once contained Keystone nails. Keystone Steel and Wire invented and is a major producer of barbed wire. Keystone is headquartered in Peoria, Illinois. The box is designed so that as it opens the top folds up to form a taller opening for the box. The sides are each decorated with nail graphics for a background. The front of the box reads, “89 Common Keystone Nails Keystone Steel & Wire Company Peoria, Illinois.” The back the box reads the same with the acceptation of a line of numbers running along the top of the box. The numbers are, “?32B1?14?65-?.” The “?” symbols indicate digits that were unreadable. the right side of the box reads, “50 Lbs. Net Wt. Keystone Nails Made in U.S.A.” The left side of the box is identical to the right. The left side of the box has a seam running bisecting it. The top flap of the lid of the box reads, “Clean Sharp Points Made in U. S. A. by American Labor From Steel Made in U. S. A. 1964 American Nail Producers Council.” There is a copywrite symbol before the 1964. The bottom flap of the lid of the box reads, “Common Keystone Nails.” The left side of the bottom of the box has the “General Box Co.” name and logo as well as a box certificate with the specifications of the box. The right side of the box reads,”#6 10/64.” Within a rectangle printed on the box is the text,:Medomatic B-1 U.S. Pat. 3,069,062 Other Patents Pending.” the design of the box was originally patented by Clifford H. Keith in 1962. The box is in fairly good condition but is stained, gouged, scratched, stained, and folded in several places.
