from the Confederate Libby Prison located in Richmond, VA orange red brick with evidence of lime mortar
Libby Prison was originally a warehouse for Libby & Sons Ship’s Chandlers; it was converted to a prison by the Confederate Government. Libby Prison was located along the James River in Richmond, VA and was used to hold Union Officers captured by the Confederacy. The prison was dismantled about 1890 in order to re-erect it at the Columbian Exposition in Chicago. After that plan failed the remnants were sold to souvenir hunters
