Bust of Sir Walter Scott. Parian ware (or statuary porcelain) is unglazed and has the appearance of marble, but can be molded in its liquid state. It is used for inexpensive, molded figures and groups. Copies of world-famous ancient and contemporary sculpture were made for mass distribution during the Victorian Era.
