Massive walnut desk is composed of two sections. The bottom which contains four drawers, is mounted on four massive turned legs. The drawer pulls are carved leaves. The top section contains four drawers, two cabinets, and a hidden row of pigeon holes. Two of its drawers have carved pulls, and the other two have rather primitive knobs. The row of pigeon holes is hidden behind the frieze and cornice of the top section. An open area separates the two cabinets which lie at opposite ends of the piece.
