Gown - 1967.124.30

Dress is woven patterned silk in brown with a blue design netting around V shaped neck, concealed front closing, fully lined bustle train, heavy backing around back portion of hem near bustle area, bodice is boned, shawl type collar is beaded with colored and clear glass, with braided design probably satin of a light blue color, pleated three ruffles arond entire length of hem on outside and inside of dress, one matchesdreass nad one matches lining, leg-o-mutton sleeves with beaded cuffs, stamped bustle tape inside PARIS with a name and street address and RAUDNITZ one of names on label. Note in Jean Morron’s handwriting “brown and blue brocade dress of mother’s (ERM) made in Paris 1893 for Reynolds wedding”.
