Mrs Stivers
Now I am writing
you a few lines as James
ask me if I would so
I cant refuse on a case
like this now I was in the
same Co. as he was and
a very good pal of mine
now the reason feel him
is becuase of me
being an opla buy avar
just in the Comp. Bowie
Texas detachment so am
left there near. I, with
the 49th CAC. abord the
U.S.S. Panamon. and
we are now only about
one day out from N.J.
expecting to land some
time Thursday 13th”

are left behind. but now
do not avary for I think
James is on his way by
now for there wasn’t a
thing holding thine there
and I left him fine
and here is hoping he
will land home soon

greetings to him when
he returns.
