Brass outboard propeller mounted on walnut panel with routed edge. Propeller used on first outboard motorbaot to exceed 40 mph. World record of 41.74 mph established at I.V.Y. Club National Regatta during summer of 1928 in Peoria, Illinois. Name of boat – Spirit of Peoria. The Travis Cadillac Co. group included the Elto Quad Motor, a Boyd-Martin Boat with Eldon Travis as pilot and Harrison Welch as mechanic. In addition, two more World Records were established during 1928 – five mile closed course record of 39.93 mph at Muscatine, Iowa but not with this propeller .
