This half round stamping die is composed of three iron plates which have been bolted together. The actual stamps are mounted through the plates. Iron springs cause the dies to recoil.
The stamps are in a series and read: “Hiram Walker & Sons, Inc. Peoria, Ill.” which was stamped or burned into the wood
