18th Century Spyglass – this glass was the property of Col. Noahdiah Hooker who carried it through the Revolutionary War. He raised a company of soldiers which he himself equipped and which he fed during the first winter when they were stationed near Boston. His wife, Rebekah Hooker who remained at home, bought andd fattened cattle which were then driven to Boston to feed Col. Hooker’s men. After independence he was repeatedly elected to legislature. It is said only one man was ever elected more than Col. hooker.

The glass was presented to Pettengill-Morron House on Thursday, February 5, 1976 by Edward D, Grier of Peoria, a cousin of Jean Morron.
