The shoulders are puffed with tapered sleeves. The skirt is plain with trim five inches above the hem. She is wearing a necklace, bracelet, and ring with her hair pulled back. The man is seated by a table. He is wearing a suit, trousers, leather boots, a vest, a white button-up shirt, and a cravat. He has a mustache and is looking at the camera. The table beside him has a patterned cloth and two books. The carpeting is patterned. Bottom reads, “Hall, Red Oak, Iowa” Back has red design and says, “Instantaneous portraits of children a successful specialty. G.B. Hall, South Side of Square, Red Oak, Iowa.
