Image: Front porch of the house built by Moses Pettengill (1802-1883) in 1868 on Moss in Peoira, Illinois with the addition of a Colonial Revival porch. Two women stand in the driveway in front of the stairs to the main entrance. The woman on the right appears to be Augusta Pettengill (1846-1936) wife of Blanchard Pettengill (1850-1914). Blanchard and Augusta visited Peoria in 1907 after a long absence. They left Peoria in 1891 to settle in Worcester, Massachusetts. In 1907 the Pettengill house was owned by Dr. and Mrs. Charles Thomas.
