tinted photograph of the Palace of Dogges in Venice, purchased by George and Louise Katzing(brother and sister) about 1875. Hung in their candy shop at 426 Main, Peoria, IL in 1920 it became the property of Ellwood Berte an employee. At the passing of the Katzings, Berte was willed the business. The picture hung in Berte’s store until 1968, until his retirment and sale of the business.
